Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handy Man or Woman to join our team, working predominantly in a carehome in Worthing for 2 days or 16 hours per week but also on occasion other care homes or private residential properties. Days and hours maybe negotiable and so applications from those who need to work around school hours are welcome. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance skills and be capable of performing various repair tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Successful candidates will require an enhanced DBS check.
Duties
* Painting and decorating tasks.
* General maintenance and repairs, including v basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
* Gardening work including weeding, strimming and hedge cutting.
* Fence and patio construction and repair.
* Other odd jobs around the property and garden.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Volo's health and safety policies.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues as necessary.
* Communicate politely and effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
Skills
* Experience in general maintenance and DiY would be helpful.
* Basic knowledge of carpentry and general repair techniques advantageous.
* Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and efficiently.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Good communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
* A valid driver's licence is essential for travel between job sites.
