Catering Manager
Grade 8, SCP 18-21 – Actual Salary £27,428 to £28,825
Hours – 37 Hours per Week, Term Time Plus Five Days

We seek an experienced Catering Manager who is passionate about delivering nutritious meals that support student achievement and overall well‑being in a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of established Catering Assistants to provide outstanding in‑house catering across three lunch services, breakfast and split breaks.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and operational efficiency throughout all service times.
* Develop and implement innovative, balanced menus that meet Nutritional Standards and cater to the diverse cultural preferences of our community.
* Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with pupils, staff and visitors.
* Support the school’s commitment to student welfare, ensuring food provision consistently aligns with the school’s educational philosophy and Ofsted expectations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior catering role within a school or similar food service setting.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of school catering regulations, nutritional guidelines and food safety standards.
* Proactive approach to service improvement and menu innovation.
