The successful candidate will embrace the aims of our school - ‘Achieve Well, Aim High, Have Fun’.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), behaviour management, and pastoral support to make a real difference in the lives of our youngest learners and their families.

Your Role Will Include:

• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation across the school.
• Working in close partnership with teaching staff, families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning.
• Leading targeted interventions to support engagement, attendance and achievement – especially for pupils with SEND or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
• Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, attending safeguarding meetings, and upholding high standards of child protection and welfare.
• Tracking and evaluating pupil progress and attendance data to demonstrate impact.

• Supporting transition arrangements within school and into Key Stage 2.

• Has experience supporting young children with SEMH needs, SEND or challenging behaviour.
• Understands the importance of building strong, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Can remain calm, empathetic and positive in emotionally demanding situations.
• Is confident delivering small group and 1:1 interventions and tracking outcomes.
• Can work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
• Has knowledge of safeguarding policies and the responsibilities of a DSL (training can be provided).
• Is a strong communicator with a solution-focused mindset and a willingness to learn.

What We Offer:

• A caring and inclusive school community that values every child and adult.
• A supportive leadership team and SENDCo.
• Opportunities for CPD in relation to safeguarding, SEMH and behaviour need and SEND.
• A chance to make a meaningful impact in a small, nurturing setting.
• Access to resources, external agency support, and a welcoming, dedicated team of staff
