Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our team at the Manor Farm.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes, ensuring that all food safety standards are met while maintaining the highest level of quality and presentation.
Duties
* Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, preparing batch recipes for service, and measuring our ingredients to ensure reduced wastage.
* Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
* Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times.
* Assist in meal preparation for special events or large orders as required.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting - Desired but not essential, all training will be provided.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
