About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Product Development team. In this hands-on role, you’ll build high-performance, customer-facing applications for kiosk systems. You’ll help shape frontend architecture, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices across the team, focusing on technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain React/TypeScript applications using modern frameworks
* Architect scalable, maintainable frontend systems with performance and accessibility in mind
* Drive improvements in code quality, testing, and tooling
* Champion responsive design and performance optimisation
* Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD enhancements
* Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of learning
* Contribute to component-driven architecture and design system evolution
* Participate in production support and incident response
What You’ll Bring
* Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development
* Expert-level knowledge of React, and modern JS
* Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API)
* Deep understanding of performance optimization and accessibility
* Experience with AWS, Docker, and advanced testing strategies
* Proven ability to mentor and influence technical decisions
* Agile delivery and continuous improvement mindset
Desirable skills
* Experience with Node.js or Python
* Familiarity with Kubernetes or advanced AWS services
* Exposure to kiosk or POS hardware interfaces
* Accessibility (WCAG) compliance expertise
