Quality Manager

Role & Responsibilities:
* Lead internal and external quality audits
* Maintain Quality Management System
* Knowledge of general engineering practices
* Knowledge of general measuring equipment
* Ability to interpret technical data, including models, drawings, and specifications
* Working experiences within engineering linked roles
* Experience with a target driven business
* Good communicator, written and verbal (presentation)
* Able to build strong relationships, internal and external
* Mathematically literate, understanding cost and pricing
* Based in Bristol
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Ensure all internal & external quality accreditations are adhered to
* Knowledge of BSEN ISO9001 2015
* Customer & suppliers’ liaison for all inbound and outbound materials
* Define company processes and procedures regarding plant Quality
* Support & lead the team to accept/reject in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production
* Support & lead the team to accept/reject incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
* Support & lead accept/reject finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
* Generate and compilation of First Article Inspection Reports
* Making appropriate decisions when concerns over quality and safety become apparent
* Highlight production issues (Technical / Quality / Health and Safety) to the Production Manager
* Support training and development activities as requested by the General Manager
* Ensure all equipment used is in calibration and good operating condition. Once used, the equipment is to be returned to its designated storage location
* Support weekly production meetings reporting on job progress and output requirements
