This is a leadership role that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery. You'll be working with senior leaders to design policies that support business objectives, while also being the trusted partner for employees across the organisation.
The Role
The Human Resources Manager will oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance development and retention. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to creating a workplace where people can flourish.
You'll be a visible presence within the business, balancing the demands of operational HR with longer-term projects such as talent management, wellbeing programmes, and cultural initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on HR strategy, policies, and processes to support business goals.
* Act as a trusted advisor to directors and managers on people-related matters.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
* Manage employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent practices.
* Implement training, performance management, and development programmes.
* Ensure compliance with employment law and regulations.
* Drive initiatives in employee wellbeing, engagement, and diversity.
* Oversee payroll accuracy and HR administration.
* Lead HR projects such as reward frameworks, succession planning, and cultural development.
What We're Looking ForEssential
* Experience in a senior HR role, ideally as HR Manager or Business Partner.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Proven ability to manage employee relations and advise at senior level.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
* CIPD Level 5 or 7 (or equivalent).
* Experience within multi-site or growing businesses.
* Knowledge of HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
* Background in leading organisational change projects.
