The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the overall employee experience, supporting both operational and strategic HR functions. Working closely with senior management, the HR Manager will provide expert advice, drive engagement initiatives, and ensure that HR practices align with organisational growth and development plans.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Manager will act as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, providing guidance across a wide range of HR matters. This includes managing employee relations issues, supporting performance management processes, and promoting a fair and consistent approach to people management.
Key duties will include:
* Providing expert advice on complex HR matters, including employee relations and performance issues
* Managing and resolving sensitive cases, supporting conflict resolution and ensuring best practice is followed
* Developing, implementing, and continuously improving HR policies and procedures
* Ensuring compliance with current employment legislation and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes
* Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity across HR systems
* Monitoring and analysing HR metrics, producing reports to support decision-making
* Leading and delivering employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace culture
* Supporting senior leadership with strategic HR planning and organisational development
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and experience operating at a management or advisory level. They will be confident working both operationally and strategically, with the ability to influence and support stakeholders across the business.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
* A minimum of three years’ HR experience, ideally within a management capacity
* Experience working within organisations of 50+ employees
* A CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification (or currently working towards)
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous, particularly if travel between sites is required.

Working Environment
This is a full-time, office-based role located in Newport. The position operates on a rota between Monday and Friday, providing structure while supporting a healthy work-life balance
