Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Assist in the meal preparation process, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, including proper handling of kitchen equipment.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation are met.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of dishes served.
* Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
* Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed, sharing culinary techniques and best practices.
Experience
* Knowledge or previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred, particularly within a restaurant setting.
* Meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations is essential.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
* A passion for cooking and baking with creativity in developing new dishes is highly valued.
* Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
