Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Radiography Assistant to join our Imaging Department. The successful candidate will play a key supporting role in ensuring the smooth operation of radiographic procedures, maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, and assisting radiographers with clinical and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist radiographers in preparing patients for imaging procedures
· Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the imaging process.
· Help position patients and equipment under the direction of the radiographer.
· Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
· Manage patient flow and coordinate appointment schedules.
· Perform administrative tasks as required.
· Support infection prevention practices.
· Assist with stock control.
· Escort patients as needed to and from imaging suites.
· Uphold patient confidentiality and data protection at all times.
Requirements:
Essential:
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
· Organized, dependable, and adaptable to a fast-paced clinical environment.
· Compassionate and respectful approach to patient care.
· Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office and familiarity with medical software).
Desirable:
· Previous experience in healthcare or radiology settings.
· Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
· Healthcare assistant or related certification.
Working Hours:
* Monday – Friday
* 12-hour shift
* 10-hour shift
* Flexibility is required, based on departmental needs.
