JOB TITLE – GROUP HR MANAGER

Job Summary:
* We are currently representing a role on behalf of our food manufacturing client based in the East Yorkshire region.
* This is a hands‑on, multi‑site role where you will own the HR agenda across both sites – managing day‑to‑day HR activity while putting in place the basic people processes, policies and frameworks the group needs as it scales.
Main Duties:
* Act as the first point of contact for all HR matters across multiple sites, supporting employees, supervisors and managers.
* Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, probation, changes to terms and leavers.
* Lead and advise on employee relations cases (performance, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and investigations).
* Work closely with Operations and site leadership teams to ensure HR supports production, shift patterns and business needs.
* Review, update and implement HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook in line with UK employment law.
* Develop basic HR metrics and reporting (headcount, turnover, absence, ER activity) for the leadership team.
* Contribute to ongoing improvements around people processes, culture, engagement and communication as the group grows.
Person Specification:
* Proven HR generalist experience at HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor / HR Manager level.
* Background in manufacturing, ideally food manufacturing or a similar shift‑based environment.
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience managing ER cases end‑to‑end (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance).
* Highly organised, with the ability to put simple, effective processes in place where they do not yet exist.
* Resilient, hands‑on and comfortable in a fast‑paced, change‑heavy environment
