Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Complete meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
* Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
* Provide support in other areas as required, including serving when necessary.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar environment. Home style cooking is what we do best.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food safety practices.
* Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable, along with knowledge of meal preparation techniques.
* Experience in meeting. range of food sensitivities and needs.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
