SARC Service & Quality Manager

This role is offered on a fixed term/secondment basis for 12 months. The hours are full‑time, 37.5 hours per week. Internal applicants who wish to be considered for a secondment opportunity should discuss with their line manager the suitability of a possible secondment.
GHC operates Sexual Assault and Referral Centres (SARCs) on two sites: Hope House, Gloucester and The Gables, Swindon. GHC operationally manages the clinical activity for both sites, and provides non‑clinical activity at Hope House; the SARC facility in Swindon is delivered via a subcontract with a third‑sector provider, First Light.
The SARC service is currently working towards ISO15189 accreditation, an FSR requirement. The operational & quality manager plays a key role in day‑to‑day management of SARC Services and in implementing and maintaining the ISO15189 Quality Management System.
Main duties of the job
* Responsible for operational and day‑to‑day management of SARC services, ensuring high quality and effective delivery.
* Manage financial, physical and human resources to comply with robust operational governance and delivery against commissioned specifications.
* Act as quality lead for SARC services, establishing, implementing and maintaining the ISO15189 Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with FSR Codes of Practice and Conduct.
* Drive forward the service improvement agenda, ensuring services are delivered in line with local and national frameworks.
* Achieve and maintain UKAS accreditation, establishing, implementing and maintaining processes required for the QMS.
* Liaise with First Light on quality matters regarding the SARC facility in Swindon.
* Work in line with the UK Visa and Immigration Rules and Regulations, providing necessary documentation where required.
