The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of a major residential construction project. The scheme involves the demolition of an existing building followed by the construction of a new reinforced concrete (RC) frame apartment block.
You will lead the site from enabling works through to completion, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overall management of site operations from demolition through to handover
2. Planning, coordinating, and supervising subcontractors and site teams
3. Managing RC frame construction, sequencing, and logistics
4. Ensuring strict compliance with H&S, environmental, and statutory requirements
5. Maintaining programme targets and driving productivity on site
6. Quality control and inspections to ensure works meet specifications
7. Liaising with project managers, design teams, consultants, and local authorities
8. Managing site records, reporting progress, and resolving technical/site issues
9. Leading and motivating site teams to deliver results
Requirements
10. Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager (or strong Site Manager ready to step up)
11. Strong background in RC frame residential projects
12. Experience managing demolition and enabling works
13. SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certified
14. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
15. Ability to manage multiple trades and complex programmes
16. Solid understanding of UK construction regulations and best practice
