Mobile Unit Catering Manager - 25 hours per week
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council – our award-winning school meals in Solihull have never tasted better and we are proud to offer pupils across the borough a great range of delicious, healthy meals, using locally sourced, high quality ingredients.
Responsibilities
* Working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only at various schools across the Solihull borough and on occasions Coventry.
* Set and maintain a high standard of quality food presentation and service. Ensure all food served is at the right temperature, garnished and served in an appropriate manner. Serve meals and assist customers in choosing dishes.
* Ordering, preparation and cooking of food following the Centralised menu plan for breakfasts, lunches, buffets and promotions. Ensure the Government nutritional/food-based standards are met.
* Compile and submit all required statistical documentation to central administration (e.g., trading sheets, payroll adjustment sheets, periodic stock control sheets).
* Prepare or delegate preparation of dining areas for all catering requirements, including function catering.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 Award in Hospitality and Catering Principles
* Level 2 Food Safety
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle
Employment details
* Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only, across Solihull borough (occasional assignments in Coventry); 38.6 weeks per year; £15,363.45 per year.
* DBS check required.
* Post requires DBS check and safeguarding responsibilities.
