Operating from a modern purpose-built factory in Derry, they now have over 100 employees. Hays have been appointed by thispany to recruit a HR Officer to join their team. This is a stand-alone role, reporting in the management team. It is office-based and you will work from 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday with a 1pm finish on Friday.
Your new role
As HR Officer, you will oversee and manage all aspects of human resources in thepany, and will provide support and guidance for all HR activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive business performance. Your key responsibilities will include: m anagement and administration of all aspects of HR, overseeing and managing the recruitment process, onboarding of employees, planning, organising, and delivering training and development for all staff, maintenance of on-going training/skills analysis, and development of training plans. You will also be responsible for absence management and employee relations issues. In your HR role, you will develop and maintain HR policies and procedures ensuring they are implemented in a consistent manner and assist with health and safety duties as and when required.
What you'll need to succeed
As HR Officer, you will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a generalist HR role. You will have excellent employment law knowledge, the ability tomunicate with people at all levels via verbal and written forms, be proficient in Microsoft suite and have the ability to prioritise workloads.
A CIPD qualification and previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
