Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times when you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.
Eligibility: To apply for our undergraduate placement scheme, you must be studying for an undergraduate degree that requires a placement year. Master’s students are not eligible for this placement. Please consider before applying if you live more than 60 minutes away from post code MK15 8HG, that you would need to relocate to either Milton Keynes or be a commutable distance (within 60 minutes).

We are looking for two Central Sales Executive undergraduates to work with our Volkswagen Group brands and with all car manufacturers in the industry. You will attend car events, exhibitions and get involved in other projects around the business. Your main responsibility is to support the Sales team to achieve their sales targets and to provide an excellent service to our customers and the dealer network. You will come away from your placement year with an invaluable understanding of a fast-moving sales environment with developed skills in Customer Service, market research, and data analysis all key for anyone looking to secure a career in a global organisation in the future.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the sales team in achieving targets by providing accurate quotations and managing rate books for end-user customers and fleet sizes.
* Handling customer inquiries through Salesforce, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions within agreed KPIs.
* Maintaining Point of Sale and Stock Management systems for self-service access and efficiency improvements.
* Managing daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements to provide valuable sales insights and management information.
* Communicating updates and collaborating with the Sales & Marketing team
* Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify rental market trends and inform strategic decision-making.
What we are looking for
* Currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
* Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with confidence, while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating confidence, approachability, and friendliness.
* Proficient in Excel and eager to expand technical skills in CRM platforms and data analysis tools.
* Creative, adaptable, and willing to collaborate on innovative solutions to drive sales and support the wider Sales & Marketing team.
Recruitment process
1. Apply and upload your CV, covering letter and answer a few application questions.
2. You’ll be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test. This is a short multiple-choice question set to help us understand how you may approach situations.
3. If you pass this stage, you will be invited to complete an online video interview where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself.
4. If successful, your last step in the journey is to attend an in-person Assessment Centre at our Milton Keynes office. You’ll also meet some of our managers and our current undergraduates to find out more about a placement year with us.

Our undergraduate placement roles do not meet the UKVI’s criteria for the skilled worker sponsorship route; therefore we are unable to accept candidates requiring sponsorship for this role.
