A prestigious housing developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes seeks an experienced Site Manager for a new build housing project in the West Midlands. The ideal candidate is hardworking, personable and demonstrates excellent teamwork skills.
Job Duties
* Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations and company standards.
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site operatives to maintain progress and quality of work.
* Monitor site budgets and resources, controlling costs and ensuring efficient use of materials and labour.
* Ensure all works are completed on schedule and to the required specification, liaising closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
* Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets and site diaries.
* Support the delivery of new build housing projects from groundworks through to completion, adhering to traditional construction methods.
* Promote a positive working environment and foster strong relationships with site teams and external parties.
Required Qualifications
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.
* Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
* First Aid at Work certification.
* Full, clean driving licence.
Experience
* Proven experience managing traditional new build housing sites.
* Demonstrable track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge and Skills
* Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, health and safety legislation and quality standards.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Competence in using site management software and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Working Conditions
* Primarily site-based role requiring regular visits to construction locations within the West Midlands area.
* Full-time hours, with occasional requirement for extended hours to meet project deadlines.

* Work involves exposure to typical construction site conditions including outdoor environments, varying weather conditions and use of personal protective equipment.
