What you’ll be doing
1. Analyse and design the most effective software solutions for the Business using RPG (Synon).
2. Actively participate in agile ceremonies, creating technical user stories and tasks with correct level of detail.
3. Proactively identify issues which may jeopardise delivering to deadlines or compromising the agreed solution, escalating to the Delivery Manager.
4. Review and monitor code and testing from other developers in line with agreed standards, leading by example to achieve high code quality prior to deployment for committed sprints/dates, leading by example.
5. Develop unit tests that ensure the delivered component will meet its objectives
6. Provide technical advice on how best to deliver changes requested within a project. Approve code release to production following technical review.
7. Contribute to development and improvement of departmental technical standards. Maintain an in depth understanding of current systems and use this to develop practical business solutions
8. Configure and maintain web services using REST and SOAP.
9. Provide timely technical assistance to resolve immediate production issues

About You
What you’ll bring to the team
13. Experience in developing solutions using RPG (Synon) programming knowledge
14. Ability to configure and maintain Web services using REST and SOA
15. Providing technical support and changing to existing business application
16. Knowledge of working in an Agile Framework
17. Ability to unit test and resolve bugs

Working hours
Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5pm (1 hour lunch). This is a hybrid role with remote working and at the Solihull office.
