Learning Mentor Location: Bexley Pay: £90 - £100 per day Contract: Full-time / Long-term Start Date: February 2026 Academics are currently working in partnership with a SEMH provision in Bexley to recruit a Learning Mentor to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role: Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour management, and engagement in learning Building positive, trusting relationships with students Implementing behaviour support and intervention plans Supporting students both in and out of the classroom Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or vulnerable young people Calm, patient, and consistent approach Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Background in education, youth work, care, or mentoring is desirable
