The Role
As Site Manager, you will manage one heavy civils project at a time, tackling significant challenges, such as reducing the use of storm overflows and strengthening water resilience. Projects range in value from £k to £40m and 3 months to 3+ years.
Here are some of the activities that you'll get involved in...
1. Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental legislation, CDM and NRSWA specifications
2. Highlight non-conformities, escalating when required
3. Lead and manage your team and ensure they receive high quality training and mentoring, that supports their development, setting them up for success and enabling them to make their best contribution
4. Promote and drive continual improvement and innovative ideas
5. Proactively manage schedules to minimise disruption and preventable mistakes
6. Co-ordinate resources ensuring efficient delivery
7. Take ownership and oversee all temporary works
8. Deal with variations and valuations (submissions & settlement)
We would love to hear from you if you can demonstrate...
A good all-round technical knowledge of the construction & water industry is essential, along with a NRSWA accreditation and full UK driving licence.
Experience of either, deep excavation, pipeline or infiltration projects would be highly advantageous.
Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
A good understanding of client quality specifications.
