What's involved with this role: Temporary Labourer/Driver - Housing Reference no: N Warwickshire 5248025 Pay Rate: up to £12.42 per hour PAYE depending on experience 37 Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: ATHERSTONE The role is to be part of two person teams to do works such to a roof / ground works and to clear voids and deliver materials. They must be physically fit and reliable. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for taking allocated materials /plant delivery’s/collections to site either on responsive /void works or planned maintenance repairs. Provide general labour either on your own or by working with a tradesman. Maintain effective communication with the Supervisory/ Administration and management staff passing on information, concerns and problems with regard to any jobs. Attend pre arranged responsive appointments. Work flexibly to enable repairs to be carried out at reasonable times to suite of the customer. Be courteous and act in a professional manner when dealing with tenants and the public and to act in a manner appropriate to that of a representative of the Authority and in accordance with the Housing Divisions Customer Charter and Contractors Code of Conduct. Provide a presentable and professional image whilst undertaking duties including wearing clean corporate work wear and keeping allocated vehicle clean and tidy both externally and internally. Be responsible for any allocated vehicle, plant, tools and equipment. To identify defects and report any maintenance/ repair issues to the administration office. Maintaining a level of responsibility and duty of care towards your own health & safety and that of your colleagues, tenants and members of the public. To be aware of any risks and dangers and where appropriate inform your supervisor / manager or take action on your own initiative to reduce that risk. Always work to the safe working practice as outlined in the Health and Safety Policy. Work unsupervised and exhibit responsibility for the completion of tasks, acting on own initiative when faced with minor problems. Maintain good relations with other members of your team. Work as part of the team and contribute in a constructive manner. Keep good attendance at work and work flexibly within contracted hours to meet the needs of the service.
