Our client is a market leading environmental sensor design & manufacturing company working in a variety of industry sectors, including Naval Defence, Maritime & Marine Science & Technology. We are recruiting for a Quality/HSE Manager to lead, develop, and maintain the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental processes across the company. Key duties: Effective management and administration of the organisations ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure the company is compliant with new legislation and changes to existing legislation. Conduct internal audits, undertake site and project quality inspections. Proactively champion quality best practice throughout the business. Analyse complaints and non-conformances from internal and external audits, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Team. Evaluate and analyse suppliers and sub-contractors in accordance with Quality Management System requirements, in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager. Manage budgets and drive improvements Knowledge, Skills and Experience Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment are required. Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire others. Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills. Works well under pressure and is a good critical thinker. Relevant industry experience or degree in a relevant subject related to engineering or manufacturing. Relevant certification e.g. NEBOSH, COSHH, NGC, GC3, IOSH, First Aid at Work, Fire Warden, ESD, ISO9001 QMS Internal auditing. Security Clearance Essential Security clearance will be applied for on appointment UK passport holders required plus proof of residency in UK for last 5 years.
