We are partnering with a well-established steel stockholder seeking a proactive and commercially minded Steel Sales Executive. This role offers a blend of warm inbound activity and strategic outbound sales, targeting lapsed, dormant, and new customers to maximise revenue.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle a high volume of incoming enquiries via phone and email, providing accurate quotations and fast responses.
* Proactively target new business opportunities, including lapsed and dormant accounts.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
* Negotiate pricing and terms confidently to secure profitable orders.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing and delivery of orders.
* Maintain CRM records, tracking pipeline activity and sales performance.
Requirements
* Proven sales experience within steel, metal stockholding, or a related industrial sector.
* Strong business development skills with a proactive approach.
* Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation abilities.
* Highly organised, commercially aware, and target-driven.
* Able to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
