Perm Salary - £50k - £60k
CIS - £260 - £300 per day
I'm working exclusively with a civil engineering and groundworks contractor with a number of schemes throughout Yorkshire to recruit an experienced Groundworks Site Manager for a new residential development starting in March and April.
They have a strong reputation across the region for delivering quality groundworks packages, and with a healthy pipeline of work ahead, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability with a respected contractor.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all groundworks operations on a busy new-build housing site
* Manage site teams, subcontractors, and coordinate plant and material deliveries
* Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to high-quality standards
* Keep accurate records and report progress, challenges, and updates to senior management
* Build strong working relationships with the client, housebuilder, and internal teams
Requirements
* Demonstrable experience managing groundworks packages on residential developments
* SMSTS and CSCS are essential
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Proven ability to manage programme, logistics, and site safety effectively
