Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a Child Mental Health Support Worker / Learning Support Assistant to work with children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools within Northumberland. You will provide 1:1 support to children with SEMH, assisting with their academic and mental health needs. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child's life and future.
The students may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASC), complex learning disabilities, or have a statement of educational need/Educational, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). The schools aim to support every child's development, self-esteem, and love for learning. All staff work to inspire, motivate, challenge, and support each student, regardless of individual needs.
Over 70% of mental health issues begin in childhood. We seek a professional, passionate individual dedicated to supporting children with SEMH and additional needs, with excellent behaviour management skills.

Pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary role, with potential for permanence later.
