Proactive & Reactive Sales Team – Office based – Glossop, Derbyshire, SK13

We’re looking for a Sales Executive with experience in account management to join our proactive and reactive sales team, playing a key role in growing existing accounts, winning new opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer care at every touchpoint.
The Role:
This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm) reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts while also supporting wider sales activity to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Your focus will be on maximising customer spend, strengthening long-term relationships, and ensuring a consistently high standard of service—internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring their maximum potential spend is achieved
* Handle inbound enquiries, pricing, quoting, and follow up quotations to conversion
* Proactively process sales orders and consistently meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets
* Maintain pricing structures to achieve minimum budgeted margins or better
* Deliver exceptional customer service and total customer care at all times
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers via regular phone contact and face-to-face/Zoom meetings
* Attend monthly key account reviews, contributing insights, explanations, and growth ideas
* Cold & warm calling to re-engage lapsed business, identify new opportunities, products, and markets
* Showcase and drive sales of new products, assist in customer training, and ensure the business stays front of mind
* Support exhibitions, roadshows, presentations, and promotional activities when required
* Provide market intelligence, competitor awareness, and customer feedback
* Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and business planning when required
* Work collaboratively across teams, sharing responsibility for the profitability and success of the business
* Maintain strong health & safety awareness and adherence at all times
