About the Role
As a recruitment partner for a local Oftsed rated 'Good' secondary school in Mansfield, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Food Technology to join a supportive and forward-thinking Design & Technology department. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and a lifelong appreciation for food and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
Plan and prepare engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Maintain a safe, organised, and well-equipped kitchen classroom environment
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree or relevant qualification in Food Technology or a related subject
Excellent classroom management skills
A commitment to student achievement and wellbeing
The ability to work collaboratively within a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
