Overview
HR Manager (East) – based in West Durrington (Worthing) with weekly travel to Brighton. Salary: £50,239 - £54,904 per annum. 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Role and scope
Lead the HR service across six college campuses (Worthing – two colleges, Shoreham, Haywards Heath, and two campuses in Brighton). Directly line manage the recruitment teams and a team of HR case work advisors. As the HR Manager (East), you will lead recruitment practice to ensure high levels of customer focus and adherence to safer recruitment practices. The HR Advisors provide flexible and responsive case management advice to Managers on employee relations issues. As a member of the HR Management team, contribute to shaping the HR service and participate in the development and implementation of the People Strategy.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage an HR team across two sites and multiple campuses.
* Direct recruitment teams to maintain a customer-focused approach and safer recruitment practices.
* Provide guidance to managers on employee relations issues through the HR Advisory team.
* Contribute to shaping the HR service and developing the People Strategy as part of the HR Management team.
* Engage effectively with College Leadership teams across campuses.
* Travel across the CCG region (from Chichester to Brighton, across the South Coast and up to Crawley).
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum Level 7 HR qualification, or equivalent experience, plus a degree.
* Further qualifications such as in Leadership or Coaching are desirable.
