Civils Site Manager - Location: Sunderland Pay: £260-£270/day Type: Full-time, Permanent Main Purpose Manage specialist civil engineering works on a live industrial recycling site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in line with CDM Regulations 2015. Core Responsibilities Oversee: Concrete floor replacement Sub-base excavation/rebuilds Drainage works Groundworks and infrastructure upgrades Reinforced concrete/hardstanding works Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials Ensure compliance with: CDM Regulations 2015 RAMS Permit-to-work systems Temporary works procedures Run daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and progress tracking Coordinate works within a live operational industrial environment Produce reports and maintain compliance/site documentation Essential Experience Civil engineering or industrial infrastructure project management Strong health & safety/CDM knowledge Contractor supervision in live operational sites Groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete experience Required Certifications SMSTS CSCS Manager Card First Aid at Work Key Skills They're Looking For Civil site management Health & safety leadership Contractor coordination Quality assurance Programme/resource management Stakeholder communicationThis role is essentially a hands-on civils delivery and H&S leadership position for industrial infrastructure upgrades within an active recycling facility.
