Core duties
1. Developing and maintaining the frontend web views powering the product
2. Working with back-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs
3. Delivering pixel-perfect visual code, online and inline
4. Managing workflow with project managers to ensure smooth delivery
5. Contributing to the general standard of front-end within the company
6. Taking ownership of improving and maintaining this to a good standard
7. Thoroughly review own and peer's tests - minimising issues picked up by the team.
8. Working with UX design team to ensure the front-end views are consistent with the style guide.
Vital experience
Please don't try and blag these or tell us you will pick them up quickly - we don't have time to teach the following!
9. Advanced JavaScript and ES6+ ,especially React (3 years + experience)
10. Advanced HTML5 and SCSS, with excellent attention to detail
11. Knowledge of AWS Lambda and CloudWatch desirable but not required
12. Version control (we use Git)
13. Working with RESTful APIs
14. Experience writing unit tests to build robust code (we use React Testing Library and Jest)
15. Knowledge of Node.js
16. Writing code with scalability, readability and maintainability in mind
17. Experience working with a chatbot would be beneficial
Location
We operate a hybrid working environment. This role can be carried out at home or in the office, but we do need you to be able to attend the office 2-3 times a week based in the Midlands, Solihull. You MUST be UK based, applications from outside the UK cannot be considered.
