Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on food safety and culinary excellence.
Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during busy service periods.
* Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on customer feedback.
* Serve meals promptly and courteously, ensuring an excellent dining experience for guests.
* Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.25-£13.95 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
