Our manufacturing sites are demanding, ever-changing, and fast-paced. We are experiencing significant growth, requiring our leaders to have an entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrate bravery, and possess strong leadership skills. It is their responsibility to ensure our sites are high-performing, efficient, and a great place to work.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will manage a team across Production, Technical, Engineering, and Hygiene. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Formulating and implementing the manufacturing plan to drive performance improvement.
2. Building strong commercial relationships within the external manufacturing industry and collaborating with Trading, Retail, Logistics, and Supply Chain partners to enhance financial performance and product manufacturing.
3. Developing and executing growth plans with Morrisons and external customers, including online channels.
4. Creating a customer service culture to ensure high-quality production aligned with the Morrisons brand and third-party customer standards.
5. Identifying, developing, and launching new products to meet customer needs.
6. Planning raw material sourcing, ensuring timely preparation, packing, and dispatch to internal and third-party customers.
7. Inspiring your team, fostering an environment that promotes peak performance and development.
8. Addressing colleague issues and ideas to improve offerings and simplify processes.
9. Motivating teams to collaborate across departments and make decisions that benefit the entire business.
10. Ensuring optimal staffing, training, and placement of personnel.
11. Setting and achieving KPIs related to Financial, Quality, Service, and People metrics.
12. Monitoring site performance, identifying improvement areas, and leading initiatives for continuous improvement.
13. Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards to maintain product safety.
14. Developing and implementing change programs within your site and supporting wider business initiatives.
15. Driving industry best practices through central support services.
16. Developing automation strategies to enhance performance and reduce reliance on manual labor.
17. Contributing to the commercial success by delivering sales and profit targets.
18. Managing CAPEX projects within budget constraints.

About you

In addition to managing at a large scale, you should have:

1. Experience at the Site Manager/Director level within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
2. Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry expertise to operate a world-class facility.
3. Strong leadership skills with a people-focused approach.
4. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to drive performance improvements and innovate with new ideas.
6. Ability to build relationships with stakeholders up to the Executive Board level.
7. Analytical thinking skills.
8. Commercial acumen.
9. Ambition.
