As the HR Officer (Oil and Gas Industry), you will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders and hiring managers, driving talent acquisition strategies that align with operational needs. You will play a key role in delivering efficient, high-quality recruitment services, particularly for technical and field-based roles critical to our success in oil and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with business units to understand workforce planning needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
* Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technical and non-technical roles across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.
* Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, interview frameworks, and selection criteria.
* Identify and engage top talent through various sourcing channels, including direct sourcing, agencies, and talent pipelines.
* Ensure a strong candidate experience and employer brand representation.
* Track recruitment KPIs and provide regular reports to leadership.
* Ensure compliance with all internal policies and industry-specific labor regulations.
* Support talent mobility, succession planning, and diversity hiring initiatives.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, etc.) is a plus.
* 3+ years of HR experience, with a strong focus on recruitment within the oil and gas, energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
* Proven track record of managing complex recruitment needs across multiple locations or projects.
* Experience and knowledge with disciplinary procedure and employment law.
* Strong understanding of labor market trends and oil & gas workforce demands.
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
* Preferred experience of looking after offshore personnel and liasing with Rig Managers
