Job Title: Training & Exercising Developer (Resilience) Location: Barrow-in-Furness. Salary: Up to £48,000, dependant on skills & experience What you’ll be doing: Supporting Resilience Executives in developing and putting into place policies, standards, and guidelines to help deliver Business Continuity and Resilience training and exercise programmes Helping deliver resilience training and exercises by testing emergency plans, checking how the organisation responds to incidents, and spotting areas where more training is needed to improve overall resilience Collaborating with colleagues and other relevant partners in the development of training plans and exercise arrangements Plan and set up exercises based on agreed goals, time, and resources, making sure the purpose, scope, and success criteria match the organisation’s objectives Produces and maintain Resilience policies and procedures to support the Emergency Arrangements & Business Continuity Management Arrangements for the organisation Leading and managing training exercises to test or improve emergency and business continuity plans, in line with national standards. Able to design and run exercises that help teams practice and validate their response procedures Provide clear direction to participants throughout Emergency Arrangement & Business Continuity exercises and effectively manage timing & delivery Your skills and experiences: Educated to Certificate/Diploma level (or equivalent) in a related discipline (RQF Level 3 or above) Good understanding of how to plan, deliver, and review emergency and business continuity training in large organisations, helping to build and improve overall organisational resilience Experience working with stakeholders and customers to understand needs and delivering effective emergency and continuity plans on time Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits. The Resilience Training & Exercising team: As part of the Resilience Training & Exercise team you will be responsible for the development and delivery of training and exercise requirements, to ensure the competency of roles identified within the three phases on Business Continuity Management. Support all business Programs & Functions necessary to enable the Organization to manage an incident/crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for Business Continuity Management.
