PODCAST EDITOR Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Podcast Editor to join our team at History Hit. History Hit is part of Little Dot Studios and is the UK’s biggest digital history brand - Is this your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to start their career in the podcast industry. The Editor will be responsible for editing 3 to 5 audio/video podcast episodes per week, uploading podcasts, and collaborating with Producers and talent to create high-quality content. Please note this is an entry-level role, perfect for someone with great audio/video editing skills and looking to kick start a career in podcasts - A passion for history is essential! HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME Edit 3 to 5 podcast audio/video episodes a week with varying complexity, including SFX, music and archive for audio and video. Upload podcasts. Work with the Producers and talent to create the best possible content and episode descriptions. Contribute to new ideas, formats, talent and pilot. Help with consistently elevating the sound and appearance of our podcasts. Preparation and research for podcasts where necessary. To make show trails as and when needed. Desire to learn and take on feedback. Asset intake and delivery WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything. Experience editing audio and video. Demonstrable enthusiasm for history. Able to troubleshoot and find solutions for technical issues. Excellent time keeping, communication skills and ability to stick to strict deadlines. Good people skill. Comfortable planning ahead and working independently. (Not required, but a plus): Awareness of how to use music and SFX libraries for audio and video production. (Not required, but a plus): Understanding of Adobe Suite including Adobe Audition, Photoshop and Premiere Pro, including knowledge of AI tools for editing.
