Job overview This role is a key leader in the Estates and Facilities Division. The post holder’s is to manage all aspects of operational estates assets and is professionally responsible for the complete management and performance monitoring of Hard FM Services, and including the Retained Estates buildings at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Peterborough City Hospital retained and Stamford and Rutland Hospital. You will be responsible for the performance and leadership within Hard FM, have an open approach and 'can-do' attitude to assure safety for patients, colleagues and visitors. Advert The post-holder will have responsibility for all statutory and regulatory compliance including Fire Safety management, Non – Clinical Health & Safety management, Asbestos management, Water Hygiene management including Legionella and Pseudomonas control management, Building, Electrical & Mechanical services (specifically trust wide lead for HVAC monitoring and reporting) including Medical Gas services, Financial management. To include full financial control of the Estates minor works and Estates SLA agreements, Property inspections and the Management of estates staff, external consultants and contractors. To manage and monitor all contracted out services; particularly managing the performance of the Hard FM Services ensuring compliance with statutory standards and in accordance with the Service Contract Schedules, the agreed monitoring and reporting standards and service KPIs, including the delivery of sustainability agenda and energy performance including the Combined Cooling Heating and Power energy provision contract where applicable. Maintain effective working relationships across clinical services and corporate divisions within the Trust and external organisations. To adhere to standing financial instructions and ensure value for money on all tenders and purchases. To lead on preparing business cases for EFM capital funding. To support on strategic estates plans involving reconfiguration and developments within the hospital estate Working for our organisation We are committed to supporting colleagues through organisational change. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Professionally responsible for the complete management and performance monitoring of the Trust estates operational service and the estates team. To provide a safe and well maintained estate for all patients, visitors and staff. Encompassing full statutory compliance. Ensuring compliance and performance (Fire, Health & Safety Management, Asbestos management, water hygiene management, and mechanical electrical services) for the Trust estates operational services, Hard services, external consultants and contractors. To have budgetary responsibility for the Retained Estates Operational Services. Research, plan, develop and secure capital funding for all categories of the Retained Estates capital requirements (Fire, Backlog Maintenance, service investment etc.), support the delivery in the role of client.
