Salary: Up to £26,212 per year plus additional company benefits
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 19:00 - 03:00
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our dynamic team at Brakes in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Work alongside our Canteen Manager to serve delicious, fresh meals to our day shift colleagues and on-site visitors!
Your Role:
In this varied and engaging position, you will:
* Prepare food ingredients and assist in the cooking process.
* Maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation area.
* Cook simple meals for up to 150 internal colleagues.
* Help plan menus and set up catering events as needed.
* Manage cashier duties and operate a till for contactless payments.
* Collaborate with the team to keep the kitchen and dining areas clean.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Previous experience in cooking and food handling in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
* A quick learning ability, both in the kitchen and with Microsoft Office.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* A Level 3 in Food Safety Supervision for Catering and a Level 2 HACCP (preferred).
* A positive can-do attitude and problem-solving skills.
