Quality Manager (Design Consultancy) | Belfast
Vickerstock are delighted to be continuing our relationship with a long-established and respected multi-disciplinary consultancy to support in the recruitment of a Quality Manager. This newly created role represents a key hire for the organisation as they continue to go from strength to strength. This is an ideal platform for someone who's confident leading from the front to drive quality improvements across the practice.
Your new role as a Quality Manager
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team and will support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality design outputs, adherence to standards, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. You will be responsible for;
* Owning and evolving the firm's quality control and assurance processes;
* Monitoring design workflows to ensure they meet both internal and client expectations;
* Identifying root causes of quality issues and driving corrective actions;
* Delivering in-house training and promoting a culture of quality across all levels;
* Collaborating with designers, project leads, and clients to align quality with outcomes;
* Leading preparations for external audits and maintaining ISO certification;
* Continuously looking at where processes can be improved - and making it happen;
What you will need to succeed as a Quality Manager
* A relevant degree in design, engineering, or the built environment
* Solid experience in quality management, ideally in a design or consultancy setting
* A sharp eye for detail, sound judgement, and strong leadership skills
* Comfort with ISO standards (especially ISO 9001) and QMS best practices
* Additional certifications (e.g. Six Sigma, CQE) would certainly strengthen your profile
