Site Manager
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting several Site Managers for our client, a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor. The company specialises in delivering major residential and commercial infrastructure schemes throughout the South West.
As their workload continues to increase across the region, they are seeking experienced Groundworks Site Managers to strengthen their well-established and growing team.
Responsibilities
1. Manage infrastructure and civil engineering works, including roads, footpaths, and S278 schemes
2. Oversee groundworks, site clearance, bulk excavation, and cut & fill operations
3. Supervise foundations, sub-structures, and ground floor installations
4. Coordinate drainage and utility services installation
5. Manage construction of retaining walls and external works such as paving and tarmac
6. Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards
Requirements
7. Proven experience as a Groundworks Site Manager on residential and/or commercial projects – Essential
8. Strong technical knowledge of groundworks, drainage, foundations, roads, and utilities
9. Ability to manage subcontractors, plant, programmes, and site documentation
10. Excellent knowledge of health & safety, quality control, and compliance
11. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
12. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work
13. Full UK driving licence
On offer is a salary between £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience and a company vehicle.
