Nelson Permanent Placements are hiring for a Sales Executive to join an established and growing energy consultancy based in Tamworth. This role supports two exciting businesses that are challenging the energy market and expanding rapidly.
As a Sales Executive, you will drive new business by generating high-quality leads, booking appointments, and creating strong opportunities for the senior sales team. This is a target-driven role offering structured training, clear progression, and the opportunity to develop into a full 360 sales position where you will manage and close your own deals.
To be considered for this role as a Sales Executive you will have:
* Ideally two years’ experience in a sales-focused role such as telesales, recruitment, or door-to-door sales
* Proven experience working to targets and KPIs in a high-volume environment
* Ability to quickly learn and understand complex products and services
* Experience using CRM systems and structured sales processes
* Highly organised with strong time management skills
* Adaptable, proactive, and solution-focused
* Resilient and accountable, with the ability to work independently
* Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
The key responsibilities of this role as a Sales Executive:
* Generate new business through networking, prospecting, cold calling, social media (particularly LinkedIn), re-engaging dormant leads, and other proactive sales activities
* Book qualified appointments and build strong opportunities for the senior sales team
* Maintain accurate records and manage CRM systems to support sales activity
* Work closely with Sales and Support teams across the businesses
* Operate effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
* Demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and a proactive approach
* Manage priorities independently and meet deadlines consistently
The employment package for a Sales Executive is:
• £25,000 - £28,000 (depending upon experience) plus commission
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
• 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
