Quality & Assurance Manager – Children’s Residential Services Location: West Midlands Salary: circa £60,000 per annum benefits Contract: Full-time, Permanent Are you passionate about driving excellence in children’s residential care? We are seeking a Quality & Assurance Manager to join a respected and growing children’s residential care provider in the West Midlands. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, embedding quality across services, and supporting the delivery of outstanding outcomes for children and young people. Key Responsibilities * Lead on all aspects of quality, compliance, and service improvement across a portfolio of children’s homes. * Conduct internal audits, mock inspections, and support homes to achieve and maintain ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings. * Work collaboratively with Registered Managers and senior leaders to develop and implement quality improvement plans. * Monitor safeguarding, incidents, and key performance data, ensuring lessons learned are embedded across services. * Deliver training, coaching, and guidance to promote consistent compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations. * Act as the organisation’s champion for continuous improvement and best practice in residential childcare. About You * Proven experience in children’s residential care, ideally as a Registered Manager, Responsible Individual, or Quality Lead. * In-depth understanding of Ofsted frameworks, Regulation 44/45 processes, and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. * Strong ability to combine strategic oversight with a hands-on approach to supporting services. * Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. * Hold (or be working towards) a relevant qualification such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
