We’re partnering with a high-growth technology company building a modern cloud platform focused on solving complex infrastructure and security challenges. This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving engineering team working on large-scale, distributed systems using cutting-edge technologies.
You’ll be part of a backend team tackling complex problems daily—designing, building, and scaling systems that operate across major cloud providers. The environment encourages ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Own the full lifecycle of backend services—from design and development to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing optimisation
* Build and maintain high-performance, scalable services using modern backend technologies
* Analyse system reliability and performance, identifying improvements and optimisations
* Contribute to architecture decisions, capacity planning, and service-level objectives (SLOs)
* Participate in code reviews and collaborate closely with engineering peers
* Work cross-functionally with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver impactful features
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* 3+ years commercial experience in backend development
* Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
* Experience building or supporting data-intensive systems (databases, messaging, event-driven systems)
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
* Exposure to microservices architecture
