About the Role
We are working with a high-achieving secondary school in Wakefield to recruit a part-time Teacher of Food Technology, starting this September. The school boasts a warm and deep sense of care for each individual. Food Technology is a popular subject, offering students vital life skills and a creative outlet. You'll be joining a highly supportive department with excellent resources and a real commitment to practical, engaging education.
This part-time role involves delivering Food Technology to KS3 and KS4 students, supporting coursework, and helping students develop both confidence and competence in the kitchen.

Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* A strong ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to KS3 & KS4
* Support students in developing practical cooking skills
* Ensure all kitchen activities meet health and safety standards
* Mark work and provide constructive feedback
* Prepare and maintain ingredients and resources for lessons
* Monitor and report on student progress
* Promote healthy eating and sustainability in lessons
* Differentiate lessons to meet varied learning needs
* Attend department and staff meetings as required
* Work closely with other technology staff to support cross-curricular projects
