BD Talent have partnered with a web design and development agency in Bradford who are looking to expand their team due to an influx of new projects and clients.
The Agency:
* Small team of designers and developers, working together to produce fully custom websites
* Huge mix of clients from charities, to professional bodies, interactive art galleries and medical research specialists
* They give you the option of working a 4 or 5 day week, with salary and holidays pro-rated if you go for the shorter option
* It’s also a hybrid role with a requirement for at least 1 day in the office each week
* Hours are flexible and it’s a great option for those juggling childcare
* They offer 28 days annual leave with additional Christmas shutdown and bank holidays on top
*They build sites with Tailwind, ACF and Gutenberg and host them on WP Engine – they do this to give the end client as much control over the site content as possible. We’re looking for someone used to working in this way or happy to make the switch.*
We’re Looking For:
* Ideally someone from an agency background or someone who is used to the pace and project load that comes with working agency side – you’ll be able to work on several projects concurrently
* Someone with custom theme and plug-in experience
* A Developer with integration experience, they often integrate CRMs, membership portals and payment gateways so experience here is a must
* Someone who is comfortable in a client facing role – you’ll be involved in projects from start to finish and will often liaise with clients to understand requirements
* Tech stack wise, we’re looking for strong experience in PHP, WordPress, ACF, JavaScript, HTML, Tailwind or CSS and ideally MySQL, Gutenberg and WP Engine
* Responsive design experience, cross-browser compatibility and an appreciation for design and UX/UI are also needed
The main focus of this role will be new build projects, with some re-design work thrown in. You’ll also work with retainer clients, adding new features to previously built sites and chip in with maintenance work.
It’s a mature environment where you’ll self-manage and often work independently on projects. It will involve collaboration with the design team and you’ll have two other developers to bounce ideas off.
