About the Role
* Cook - 37 hours per week
* Cook - 30 hours per week
Both posts include working weekends and Bank Holidays in accordance with the needs of the service.
Locations: Cherry Trees (Chippenham Road, Bestwood Park Estate, Nottingham, NG5 5TA) and The Oaks (St Anns, Nottingham, NG3 1GZ)
To provide a flexible, culturally appropriate catering service to meet the needs of citizens, staff, and visitors.
To manage catering staff rotas and provide well-presented nutritious meals. This includes menu planning, food ordering, and managing the food budget.
About You
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan menus and arrange food purchasing within the budget.
* Prepare, cook, and serve meals, ensuring quality, quantity, and presentation.
* Take action on client feedback or complaints.
* Delegate and supervise assistant cooks/kitchen domestics.
* Maintain hygiene standards and follow Assured Safe Catering procedures.
* Maintain cleaning schedules and check deliveries.
* Complete necessary records and manage stock control.
* Report equipment defects.
* Work across Adult Provision sites as required.
* Able to travel and be available for work 7 days a week, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
* Undertake and achieve a satisfactory DBS check.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience in catering or professional cookery.
* Knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and nutrition standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
