Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and cooking meals for residents, including modified diets (e.g. pureed, diabetic, low-sodium) Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness at all times Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as needed Working with care staff to understand individual dietary requirements Creating a welcoming, respectful kitchen environment for residents and staff Requirements & Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need: Proven experience as a cook, ideally in a care home, hospital, or similar environment Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum preferred) An understanding of dietary needs for older adults and vulnerable individuals Ability to work independently and maintain kitchen standards without supervision Compassion, patience, and a respectful approach to residents' dignity and preferences Working Hours & Contract Duration: This role offers flexibility with full-time and part-time hours available. Shifts are typically Monday to Sunday, on a rota, with some weekend work required. This is an ongoing contract with strong potential for long-term placement. Ready to apply?
