We are currently recruiting for a Pit Bottom Man / Slinger to join our team.
As the Pit Bottom Man / Slinger, you will be required to:
* To ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
* Control pit bottom area during lifting operations and manage the exclusion zone.
* Inspect lifting equipment prior to use and report any damaged or worn equipment to the supervisor and quarantine.
* Ensure all plant and materials are slung correctly and lifted safely in line with the approved lift plan.
* Ensure radio communication with the top man and crane operator is maintained at all times.
To be successful in this position the Pit Bottom Man / Slinger must have:
* Valid Confined Spaces Ticket or a CPCS Slingers Ticket.
* TEEPS & TSTS big advantage but not necessary
* Tunnelling experience
