Salary: Career Band 7-9, up to £47,712 dependent on experience
Location: Agile, Forth Banks Police Station and homeworking

The role
Here at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Digital Policing Department as a Microsoft 365 Developer.
You will provide development capability relative to front and back-end solutions including integration, application and mobile platform components that will enable you to play a key role in the continual development of all in-house and partner developed Microsoft365-based software products and services enabling successful outcomes against strategic priorities and objectives.
You will have some experience of developing against, or working with enterprise grade software solutions, ideally through continual development methodologies.
Working collaboratively as an integral part of a supportive agile development team, you will be driven by success and will have ambition to enable your own development. You will be coached by the Senior Microsoft 365 developer and peers within the team to help you develop the essential skills and competencies required to allow you to excel in this field.
What you’ll do
1. You will be part of a team that designs, develops and implements new Force systems; and develops and drives forward new enhancements to existing systems to drive efficiencies and effect improvements.
2. You will provide a pivotal resource against the continual development of business, legislative, political and wider criminal justice driven changes assisting to achieve overall Force strategic objectives.
3. Work with guidance to ensure new and ongoing development across the integration and application landscapes meets agreed timescales and quality measures.
4. You will collaborate, engage and build positive relationships with customers, clients, stakeholders and partners to understand their needs, priorities and how technology can support the realisation of these needs.
5. Provide support to the Senior Microsoft 365 developer to impact assess vendor roadmap changes and establish the relevant work packages to mitigate any associated risks.
