Role Description
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to take ownership of user-facing applications at OneRent, a car rental platform connecting vehicle owners with renters. You will lead frontend development for both web and mobile, collaborating closely with backend engineers and designers to deliver scalable, performant, and pixel-perfect experiences across platforms.
Responsibilities
* Build and optimize responsive web applications for customers and partners using Next.js and Tailwind CSS
* Develop and maintain native mobile apps using React Native (or similar) for iOS and Android
* Implement new features based on Figma designs, ensuring high fidelity and performance
* Optimize performance, improve Core Web Vitals, and ensure smooth UX
* Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure holistic system performance
* Contribute to and maintain the frontend component library and design system
Requirements
* Strong expertise with Next.js, including SSR, SSG, App Router, and performance tuning
* Deep proficiency in Tailwind CSS for building responsive, pixel-perfect UIs
* Experience developing mobile applications using React Native or equivalent frameworks
* Solid understanding of REST APIs, caching strategies, and frontend-backend integration
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to technical architecture decisions
* Familiarity with AWS-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred) is a plus
* Strong ownership mindset and experience working in a growth-stage environment
Current Phase
We're in a growth phase with an established product and active users. The platform is stable, but we're ready to accelerate development with features like enhanced mobile experiences, partner app capabilities, real-time notifications, and improved booking workflows.
